Ecotourism : protecting the canary paradise.

Canarian culture and landscapes.

The Canary Islands are home to a great biodiversity, with numerous endemic flora and fauna that can only be found in our archipelago. Ecotourism allows tourists to explore these local treasures while minimizing the impact on nature with guided excursions in the protected areas giving the opportunity to see close up unique species in the world, such as the giant tizón or the famous Canary Island flower, the Tajinaste. In addition, local guides offer interesting information about the conservation of these unique species on earth.

Marine ecotourism.

The crystal clear waters of the Canary Islands are full of marine life, from turtles, fish, dolphins, not forgetting the pilot whales that we can observe in their natural habitat with boat trips prepared for the sighting of these species respecting the environment and animals. There are also search and conservation programs to understand and protect the marine fauna.

We also offer ecological lodges, located in the forest of La Palma or in the rural hotels of Tenerife. These lodges use renewable energy to supply themselves as well as using local organic products.

Offer of outdoor activities.

Our archipelago offers diverse activities to enjoy outdoors such as cycling, downhill, climbing, rappelling, kayaking and many more. The trails and paths are carefully created to minimize human impact on nature.

Ecotourism in the Canary Islands is more than an experience for the traveler, it is a way to conserve this unique natural paradise in the world allowing us to enter into its local beauty such as flora and fauna.

By choosing ecological activities and lodges you will contribute to the natural development of the islands without interfering negatively with them. Our spirit CANARIAS IS THE FUTURE commits us to conserve the nature of our islands in an ethical and respectful way.
